Welcome to CSDA (Catholic Schools' Debating Association)
The CSDA (Catholic Schools' Debating Association) is the largest and oldest debating and public speaking competition in NSW. It was established over 50 years ago. Both the debating competition and the public speaking competition are open to all Metropolitan Sydney Catholic High Schools. In recent years we have branched into the Wollongong diocese as well.
The public speaking competition takes place in term 1, over three fiercely contested rounds. The debating competition takes place in terms 2 and 3 over six rounds followed by the finals series.
In term 4 the CSDA organises the NSW Catholic Schools state debating competition, which brings together the winners of the Metropolitan competition and the winners of the NSW regional dioceses.
